Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the mobile game Boxes Go Wild (“the game”, “we”, “us”) collects on iOS and Android, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. Using the game also means accepting our Terms of Use.
Summary
- The game has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- We do not run our own servers for the game and do not sell your data. Your game progress stays on your device.
- The game uses two third-party services that collect data when you play: Google AdMob, which shows ads, and RevenueCat, which manages WILD PASS subscriptions. The data they collect is listed below.
- On iPhone and iPad, the advertising identifier is only used for tracking if you allow it when the game asks.
Data collected through the game
The following data is collected by the services built into the game. It is sent encrypted (HTTPS) and is linked to your device through device identifiers, not to your name or contact details.
| Data | Collected by | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Approximate location (derived from your IP address) | Google AdMob | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Device identifiers: on Android the advertising ID; on iOS an app-specific identifier (IDFV) and, only if you allow tracking, the advertising identifier (IDFA) | Google AdMob | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| App interactions, such as app launches and taps on or views of ads | Google AdMob | Advertising, analytics |
| Advertising data, such as which ads were shown | Google AdMob | Advertising, analytics |
| Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data (for example launch time) | Google AdMob | App functionality, analytics |
| Purchase history for WILD PASS (product, dates, renewal status, transaction identifiers, country and currency) and a random player identifier created by the game | RevenueCat | App functionality (checking your subscription), analytics |
Google and RevenueCat process this data as described in their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from apps that use its services, and the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. We only work with providers that protect data at least as well as described in this policy.
We do not use any analytics tools of our own. Google and RevenueCat may use the data above for analytics as part of their services, as listed in the table.
Information kept only on your device
The game saves your best score, settings (sound, vibration, announcer volume), progress, achievements, coins, boosters, comebacks and multiplies, daily reward status, tutorial status, your nickname, the country shown next to it (taken from your device’s region setting), whether you accepted the Terms of Use, and which purchases have been delivered on your device. This information is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the game removes it.
In-app purchases
The game offers optional in-app purchases, such as removing ads, buying coins, boosters, comebacks or multiplies, and the WILD PASS subscription. Payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive your name, email, payment card or billing details. The store tells the game only which product was bought and a transaction identifier, which the game keeps on your device so a purchase is delivered once. Purchases that can be restored (such as removing ads) can be restored with RESTORE PURCHASES in SETTINGS. For WILD PASS, purchase records are also shared with RevenueCat as described above.
Advertising
The game shows three kinds of ads, all provided by Google AdMob:
- A banner ad at the bottom of the screen. It is not shown during your first session with the game.
- Optional rewarded ads: you can choose to watch a short ad for a reward, for example a booster, a comeback when a game ends, a coin multiplier or a start bonus. These only play when you ask for one, at most twice per game for in-game offers and ten times per day in total.
- Between-game ads: a full-screen ad may appear when you leave a finished game (NEXT or HOME). It never appears during your first three games, at most once every two games, never right after you watched a rewarded ad or used a coin multiplier, and never after a game that scored very few points.
Removing ads (AD-FREE) or an active WILD PASS removes the banner and between-game ads. Rewarded ads remain available as an option.
Tracking and your choices
- iPhone and iPad (App Tracking Transparency): after your first game, iOS asks whether the game may track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. If you allow it, Google may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) together with the data above to show more relevant ads and measure them; this is “tracking” as defined by Apple. If you do not allow it, the IDFA is not used and ads are not personalized with it. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: before any ad is requested, the game shows a consent message provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can accept, refuse, or choose purposes. If you refuse, Google may still show limited, non-personalized ads where the law allows.
- United States: where state privacy laws apply, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising through the privacy message.
- Changing your mind: where Google’s consent messages apply, open SETTINGS and tap PRIVACY OPTIONS to review or withdraw your choices at any time.
- Watching rewarded ads is always optional: the game is fully playable without them.
Children
The game is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age in your country) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the game and data about them has been collected, contact us and we will help delete it.
Retention and deletion
- On your device: game data is kept until you delete the game.
- Google AdMob: data is kept as described in Google’s privacy policy. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier and manage ad personalization as described above.
- RevenueCat: subscription records are kept for as long as needed to provide the subscription and as required by law (for example for tax and accounting).
- Requesting deletion: you can ask us to delete the data held about you by RevenueCat, or to help with data held by Google, by emailing info@boxesgowild.com with the subject “Delete my data”. Please include the platform (iOS or Android) and, if you have a WILD PASS subscription, the purchase date or the order/transaction ID from your Apple or Google receipt so we can find the record. We will confirm the deletion within 30 days. Deleting the game removes everything stored on your device. See also Delete your data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) or US state privacy laws). Because we do not keep your data on our own servers, most requests are handled through the choices above, the tools of Google and RevenueCat, or by contacting us. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
Data sent by the game is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We do not keep copies of your game data on any server.
Changes
We may update this policy as the game changes. The date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
